The 100 series is a train for the Tokaido-Sanyo Shinkansen that was introduced in 1985.

Its avant-garde front shape is also known as the 'shark nose,' and its sleek appearance and the two-story car installed in the middle made it the flagship of JNR trains at the time.

A basic set that is compatible with both the X formation which has a dining car, and the G formation which has a cafeteria car
The body, roof, underfloor and side glass of the 123 and 124 leading cars have been newly reproduced
The body, roof and side glass of the 125-0 and 126-0 intermediate cars have been newly reproduced
The upper side of one side of cars 14 and 15 has been reproduced to look like it has no high-voltage wiring
The shape of the headlights has been revised and the edges have been printed in silver for a more realistic look
Each pantograph cover can be reproduced with the included separate parts
Hook and U-shaped conductive couplers are used
Headlights are illuminated by incandescent LEDs, taillights by red LEDs
Car number and formation number are selectable and a transfer sheet is included
Car numbers are printed as 1, 2, 11, 14, 15 and 16
